Faulkner University is seeking a qualified individual to serve as a Campus Security Officer. The qualified candidate will serve as part of the Faulkner University Police Department in an entry-level position. The selected candidate will perform periodic tours of campus, secure facilities and buildings, and perform identification checks. Faulkner University is a Christian university affiliated with the churches of Christ.

Full-time (40+ hours per week). Schedule will include day and evening shifts with additional hours assigned for special events.

Summary of Duties:

  • Maintain security presence and provide assistance to the campus community and visitors
  • Follow proper reporting procedures regarding security activities
  • Perform functions relating to securing campus facilities and buildings
  • Perform safety patrols and inspections
  • Submit regular written and oral reports on activities and special occurrences
  • Watch for and report irregularities, hazards or any physical risk

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED certificate required
  • Must be certified by a licensed physician to be in good health and physically fit for the performance of duties
  • Must pass drug and alcohol screening and be 21 years of age or older
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have no prior felony convictions or misdemeanors involving force or moral turpitude
  • Must be able to obtain certification in CPR and First Aid
  • May be required to work first, second, and third shift as well as weekends and holidays
  • Active members of the churches of Christ will be given priority consideration
