Family Programs Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position plays a pivotal role in supporting the Y, a leading non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening the community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The position supervises and administers youth and family programs while overseeing a range of offerings. This dual role involves a balance between providing essential administrative support and direct involvement in youth and family programming with the goal of increasing Family Membership at the Y.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop, manage, grow, participate in, and evaluate youth and family programming at the Y.
- Collaborate with partner organizations to extend program offerings.
- Work closely with operations to schedule space and for event management.
- Maintain a consistently high level of service for members and program families.
- Assist Director with developing and managing budgets for all programs.
- Meet, or exceed, revenue projections as outlined in the budget.
- Recruit and train staff to ensure effective program delivery, including onboarding new employees and training in Daxko Operations, Group Ex Pro, and general systems and protocols.
- Ensure programs are fully staffed with trained personnel and in compliance with staff- to child ratios.
- Supervise and manage Youth and Family Program staff.
- Manage member transactions for payment, transfers, or credits.
- Create and implement standards operation procedure for programs as needed.
- Assist with member feedback and communication in conjunction with Director.
- Oversee timecard entry for staff to ensure a timely payroll process.
- Demonstrate professionalism and support the Y core values of Caring, Respect, Honesty, and Responsibility in dealing with the public, staff, members, and children.
- Participate in internal Y committees and meetings as needed.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
- At a minimum, hold an Associate Degree in education, social or human services, psychology, sociology, or a related field.
- Possess a minimum of two (2) years of experience working with children up to age twelve (12).
- One year of employee supervision in a youth program is preferred.
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills to lead a team to success.
- Exhibit exceptional customer service skills.
- Possess analytical and critical thinking skills to effectively solve problems.
- Have the ability to interpret, understand, articulate, and enforce rules, policies, and guidelines.
