Role Insights

This role of the Claims Clerk is considered an entry-level position within the Claims Department. The Claims Clerk is responsible for providing additional support to the entire Claims Team which involves data entry, researching, organizing, etc. This candidate should possess excellent multi-tasking capabilities, the ability to meet or surpass deadlines, and be a team player.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Various projects, data entry, and research
  • Assist with the preparation of a health plan audit, as needed
  • Assist Clams Examiners with completing “standard” reports
  • Assist with Annual Wellness Examination (AWE) claims processing, as needed


Required Skills and Abilities

  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills
  • Must obtain a positive attitude and have excellent communication skills
  • Must be highly organized and able to perform multiple tasks efficiently, be computer literate and take self-initiative
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED, some college preferred
