JRAD is seeking full time candidates supporting the Director of Air Force Civil Engineers (AF/A4C). Primarily telework with onsite presence in NCR as required.


Roles/Responsibilities:


  • Responsible to AF/A4CX for developing and advocating for Department of the Air Force (DAF) capability needs into all CBRN Defense Science and Technology (S&T) initiatives under AF/A4C program management oversight.
  • Analyze CBRN threat and ensure DAF CBRN Defense modernization efforts align with defeating or mitigating the threat.
  • Provide expert analysis and recommendations on CBRN Defense Modernization issues to Government representatives on direction and oversight of Air Force stakeholders supporting Joint Capabilities Integration Development System (JCIDS) analysis.
  • Coordinate with multiple offices, agencies, and organizations to develop analysis and courses of action. Provide decision analyses and documentation for major issue resolution to senior leadership. Review, analyze, and provide recommendations for policy, guidance, and strategic documentation affecting CBRN peacetime and wartime contingency operations.
  • Assist in managing and overseeing AF interest through all phases of the DoD acquisition cycle for the four major Joint (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear) Defense Programs before fielding equipment.
  • Prepares briefings, Bullet Background Papers (BBPs), or other documentation in support of working groups, integrated product teams, and tiger teams analyzing CBRN requirements, programs and issues.
  • Recommends corrective actions to the DAF government representatives.
  • Assist Government representatives in ensuring AF CBRN equities are captured in AF, Joint, DoD and NATO planning and programming documents.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with AF enterprise to develop and ensure AF equities are advocated for at all Joint/OSD-led CBRN defense research, development, and acquisition phases in accordance with JCIDS process and the AF vision, mission, and goals.


Required Skills and Education:

  • Standard Requirement: BS/BA
  • Tradeoff: Minimum of twelve (12) years of emergency management and CBRN Defense experience across a full spectrum threat environment
  • Broad experience with corporate policies, programs, and processes
  • Local to DMV (DC, MD, VA)
  • Proficient in MS Software Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills


Security Clearance:

  • TS/SCI and NATO clearances required
