Here at Community House Mental Health Agency, we strive to provide a supportive family atmosphere in Seattle and King County for people with severe and persistent mental illness. Each person who walks through our door has a unique story, and we believe that everyone deserves to feel welcomed and valued.

Our Community Support Services department aims to provide quality outpatient care, meeting the client where they are at. The CSS department is composed of 3 teams: The Outpatient Case Managers, the Housing Support team (Standard and Intensive), and our Day Treatment Program.

Our Community Support Services team here at CHMHA has a fantastic opening for a Certified Peer Counselor.

Our Certified Peer Counselor will serve as an advocate and provide peer support services to individuals in our community. This role will be split between providing services in our Day Treatment Program and working with the Assisted Outpatient Treatment Program.  Our Day treatment program operates Monday – Friday approximately 10:00 am – 3:00 pm and is open to all clients in all programs of Community House.  The Assisted Outpatient Treatment program has two components, one is working to engage individuals who may potentially be eligible for an Assisted Outpatient Order as a way to hopefully prevent the need for a court order to treatment and the other is working with individuals who have been court ordered to Assisted Outpatient Treatment.  With both the goal is to get them either re-connected and engaged to their existing services or get them connected and engaged to long term behavioral health services.

At Community House, we value a strong work-life balance and aim to provide the best support for our workers. As a CHMHA employee, you will have access to a range of unique benefits, such as company-paid medical/dental/vision/disability insurance, a 403B retirement plan with employer match, continuing education credit, a personal unlimited ORCA card, and an employee assistance program with financial, mental, and legal assistance.
