We're hiring immediately for a dedicated Utility Construction Foreman in New Orleans, LA. If you have over 3 years of experience as a Foreman in stormwater utilities, water/wastewater, industrial, or commercial sites, we want to hear from you. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of plan sets and structural specs, expertise in heavy equipment operations, and thorough knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.

The pay for this position is $26.00 - $30.00 per hour. Travel perks including lodging expenses, use of a company vehicle, and $59 per diem.

What you'll do:

  • Take charge of repairing post-construction stormwater infrastructure, underground utilities, concrete structures, and stormwater basins.
  • Keep our equipment trailers and service vehicles in top-notch condition.
  • Showcase your expertise with hand-held power tools and heavy construction equipment, including skid loaders, backhoes, and excavators.
  • Train, mentor and lead our hardworking construction technicians, guiding them to success.
  • Oversee project activities, manage materials and equipment, control budgets, maintain documentation, meet timelines, and lead a dedicated crew.
  • Apply pioneering construction techniques and ensure regulatory compliance every step of the way.
  • Document field observations, conduct thorough site inspections, and uphold the highest standards of safety on all projects.
  • Travel 85% - 100% (Monday through Friday only) within Louisiana and surrounding states.

What we're looking for:
  • Education: GED, High School Diploma, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 5 to 7 years in construction.
  • Travel: Ability to travel Monday through Friday, with travel required 85% of the time.
  • Driving: Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
  • Skills: Proficient with heavy construction equipment, power tools, and concrete hand tools.
  • Expertise: Experience in stormwater infrastructure repair, concrete structures, rebar and concrete finishing, underground piping, and detention/retention basins.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with stormwater, sediment, and erosion control.
  • Safety and Compliance: Comprehensive understanding of OSHA safety practices and comfortable using pickups and equipment trailers while following DOT requirements.
