SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Design Development: Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed construction drawings, plans, and specifications. Perform structural analysis and calculations to ensure the safety and integrity of designs. Incorporate sustainable design principles and energy-efficient solutions into project designs.
  • Project Planning and Management: Collaborate with architects, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements. Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets for construction design activities. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, R&D specialists, manufacturing engineers, and suppliers, to coordinate design activities, address technical challenges, and integrate feedback into design iterations.
  • Analysis and Simulation: Perform engineering analysis, simulations, and testing to assess the performance, reliability, and safety of designs. Identify areas for optimization and refinement to enhance product functionality and efficiency.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Create comprehensive design documentation, including technical drawings, specifications, reports, and documentation for regulatory compliance. Maintain accurate records of design iterations, revisions, and project milestones.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in design engineering. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reduction, and innovation to enhance product competitiveness and marketability.
  • Safety and Risk Management: Identify potential safety hazards and risks associated with design decisions and construction activities.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure designs meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. Participate in design reviews, quality audits, and risk assessments to mitigate potential issues and ensure product integrity throughout the development lifecycle
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by understanding their needs, addressing concerns, and delivering high-quality design solutions. Solicit feedback from clients to identify areas for improvement and enhance customer satisfaction.



Requirements:

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification may be preferred.
  • Proven experience in design engineering, product development, or a related field, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD), simulation tools, and other engineering software.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct engineering analysis, interpret data, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, creativity, and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices in design engineering.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.


PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Fluent in Mandarin Chinese (Speaking, reading, and writing)
  • Previous experience in construction, plumbing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to identify and solve problems related to piping systems effectively.
  • Familiarity with local building codes, zoning laws, and regulations is necessary to ensure designs comply with legal requirements and safety standards.
