Position Overview
The Production Manager will collaborate with the Studio Director and/or Vice President to oversee the development and implementation of document and constructability standards. This role involves conducting QA/QC reviews, ensuring compliance with established standards, and managing project-specific details.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Studio Director and/or Vice President to develop and enforce document and constructability standards.
- Perform QA/QC reviews for various project types, ensuring compliance with standards and reviewing project-specific details.
- Present review findings to project teams
- Collaborate with project teams on project details, bidding issues, and overall document coordination and clarity.
- Attend meetings and job site visits with the construction department to review Lessons Learned and implement findings with the Architectural Division.
- Monitor and address recurring issues with shop drawings and RFIs, suggesting improvements to documentation and constructability standards.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to staff as needed.
- Participate in project meetings focused on constructability issues and liaise with municipalities, subcontractors, or engineers to resolve conflicts with company standards.
- Support the creation of project specifications and assist in developing office specification standards.
- Maintain a database of material resource documents.
Required Skills and Attributes
- Strong team spirit and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, organized, and an effective communicator.
- High attention to detail in managing projects and personnel to ensure timely delivery.
- Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD, with a strong understanding of their integration with contract documents; advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and Bluebeam.
- Familiar with local zoning, building codes, energy codes, ADA requirements, and construction procedures.
- Skilled in reviewing comprehensive construction documents, identifying issues, and coordinating resolutions with the team and jurisdiction to secure construction permits.
- Capable of maintaining project processes and communication with adjoining departments.
- Experienced in creating and implementing processes and protocols, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, construction teams, estimators, jurisdictions, and consultants.
