POSITION TITLE: Inside Sales Representative/Customer Service

DEPARTMENT: SALES

REPORTS TO: SALES MANAGER

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The sales representative is responsible for managing existing accounts and achieve sales objectives established by the Sales Manager. This position will also provide high-level support by interacting with customers, providing information in response to inquiries about products and services, handles and resolves complaints and assists the Inside Sales Manager as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:

  • Manage service center/distribution accounts
  • Qualify new potential distributors/ setting up new accounts
  • Establish, manage, and grow new potential distributor accounts
  • Order entry
  • Recording Data
  • Quoting
  • Perform administrative duties
  • Managing inventory level
  • Establish and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Be able to travel bi weekly if needed
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries
  • Handle inquiries and complaints
  • Communicate and coordinate with internal departments
  • Good organizational skills
  • Accuracy and be detail oriented
  • Good communicator
  • Analytical thinking
  • Able to work overtime as needed

  • Documenting/Recording Information — Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic/magnetic form
  • Processing Information — compiling, coding, categorizing, calculating, tabulating, auditing, or verifying information or data.
  • Interacting with Computers — using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, write software, set up functions, enter data, or process information.
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written with the ability to listen attentively
  • Excellent intrapersonal skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma, general education degree or equivalent
  • A minimum of 3 years experience and knowledge of sales/customer service principles and practices
  • Knowledge of relevant computer applications
  • Knowledge of administrative procedures
  • Product knowledge
