Aker Carbon Capture is one of the leading companies globally that has extensive knowledge of the entire CCUS value chain. We have many ongoing projects, from research and innovation, including pilot plant testing, to concept studies and to large EPC projects, both in Europe and in the United States. Today, we are delivering seven carbon capture units in Europe, with an accumulated capture capacity of 1 million tonnes of CO2. In Denmark, we are delivering five Just Catch 100 units to Ørsted, in the Netherlands one Just Catch 100 unit to Twence, and in Norway a Big Catch to Heidelberg Materials.

What will you be doing?

Aker Carbon Capture is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Business Development Manager to join our team. As a pure-play carbon capture technology company ACC offers innovative solutions, services, and technologies to a variety of industries with carbon emissions. Our proprietary, field proven carbon-capture technology provides an environmentally friendly solution for removing CO2 emissions. With a strong focus on sustainability and reducing greenhouse gas emissions, we are at the forefront of the transition to a low-carbon future.

Your responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic business development plan to drive growth and expand market reach.
  • Identify and establish relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and investors.
  • Lead and manage the end-to-end sales process, from prospecting and qualification to negotiations and contract signing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and finance to ensure successful project execution and client satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes to identify new business opportunities and emerging market segments.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to assess market potential and guide strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations and proposals to potential clients, highlighting the unique benefits and value of Aker Carbon Capture solutions.

Your qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years in business development or commercial development positions within the climate tech sectors, preferably in carbon capture and/or direct air capture project development.
  • Strong knowledge of carbon capture technologies, energy markets, and environmental regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully closing deals and meeting sales targets.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
