Artic Consulting has an immediate opening for a Consultant, Technical Project Manager to join our team. This is a full-time, direct-hire position. 

Description and Responsibilities 

The mission of the Technical Project Manager is to assist our clients with multiple strategic and logistical activities, as well as manage projects within planned schedule and budget in tandem with successfully managing stakeholder expectations.  

This is an opportunity to work on an enterprise-level marketing engine across a variety of teams to make immediate impact within a cutting-edge Technology organization. 

Responsibilities 

  • Manage a portfolio of Data Operations and analytics projects, supporting a large marketing ecosystem.  Data experience a plus.  
  • Actively manage projects, interacting with stakeholders and senior management and data engineers. 
  • Manage the expectations and dependencies of the analytics projects and programs, and ensure they are delivered on time, within budget, and with quality. 
  • Participate in scrum activities including, facilitating agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, demos, prioritization) and ensuring the team follows best practices and processes. 
  • Gather requirements from business stakeholders, drafting Epics/Features/User Stories, and supporting production ops like triage, track, and closure of issues. 
  • Communicate effectively and proactively with stakeholders and senior management, providing clear and concise updates, presentations, and recommendations. 
  • Expected to have project management skills and techno-functional communication skills to interface with technical and analytical teams as well as stakeholders 
  • Create and own Azure DevOps entries and ensure stories are detailed, well-formed with clear deliverables and definition of done.  
  • Ensure ADO stories meet and address the business need/ask. 
  • Actively work many ADO stories in tandem and ensure timely delivery 
  • Query and create reports using ADO on project status  
  • Propose process improvements and automation 
  • Manage a backlog of tech debt  
  • With a team, maintain operational SLA and KPI reporting and agreed upon outcomes and metrics. 
  • Detailed documentation and follow up on content and deliverables. 
  • Coordinate and conduct project planning and forecasting with Associate and Mid-Level Technical Project Managers 
  • Ensure upstream dependencies are delivering as expected and in a timely manner 
  • Articulate to all types of stakeholders the business goals and strategy as well as a project’s overall status, risks, and issues faced. 
  • Establish priorities and gain commitments to the scheduled delivery with both internal and external resources. 
  • Communicate new ideas to contribute to the success of our stakeholders.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Excellent organizational skills including keeping track of lots of details, tasks, and action items. 
  • Solid understanding of project methodologies such as Agile/Scrum, PMP/Waterfall and can plan out processes and stand-up new projects including mobilizing a team from zero. 
  • Experience with Microsoft’s Azure DevOps to create detailed stories and manage project features and tasks  
  • Ability to learn about the business landscape through interviews with key stakeholders, where detailed notes are captured and collected to allow others to benefit from the information. 
  • Ability to resolve all issues with internal and external clients involved in the projects then drive solutions. 
  • Ability to create complex Business Requirements Documentation 
  • Ability to manage and raise issues and challenges appropriately. 
  • Self-motivated and self-disciplined; ability to work alone at a client site to complete tasks in a timely manner without significant day-to-day management oversight. 
  • Enjoy working in a fast paced, high-output, time sensitive environment. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Communications, or a technical field. 
  • Ability to review code or implementation from a technical standpoint is highly desirable, but not required. 
  • Represent Artic Consulting at local industry-related networking events. 
  • Collaborative, with the ability to influence team members, development teams, and other business groups, often without direct management authority. 
  • PMP Certification 
  • Scrum Certification 
  • Prior consulting experience. 
  • Ability to travel as necessary.
