Job Description:

  • The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing private cloud environments, particularly with Azure and VMware, and will be responsible for overseeing the migration of VMware workloads, creating new SKU’s, Creating Storage account and Azure networking to Azure Private Cloud.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Private Cloud Management: Oversee the lift and shift of VMware workloads to Azure Private Cloud, ensuring a seamless transition and optimal performance.
  • Azure and VMware Integration: Manage and optimize the integration of Azure and VMware, including SDDC and RSSDC.
  • Compute SKU Management: Develop and manage new compute SKUs to meet customer requirements.
  • Customer Solutions: Provide the best solutions for VMware customers on-premises with 20k VMs, including V motion from on-prem to private cloud.
  • Networking and Storage: Implement step-by-step Azure networking and Creating Azure storage accounts and maintain accordingly.
  • Managed Services: Oversee managed services, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Project Management: Lead project management efforts, including capacity management, security assessments, monitoring, and reporting on infrastructure.
  • Resiliency Processes: Develop and implement resiliency processes to ensure business continuity.
  • BI Reporting: Generate and analyze BI reports to support decision-making.
  • Build Outs and Deployments: Collaborate with the development team on build outs and deployments.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in managing private cloud environments, particularly with Azure and VMware.
  • Strong understanding of SDDC, RSSDC, and VMware workloads.
  • Experience with Azure networking, storage, and managed services.
  • Excellent project management and documentation skills.
  • Prepare TSGs (Troubleshooting Guides) for repeat issues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Prepare fixes and test them in collaboration with respective solution owners.
