Musco Sports Lighting is hiring an Athletic Field Construction Technician who will be responsible for construction and renovation projects from start to finish and reporting to the project Foreman. This person will complete a wide variety of tasks required for the construction, installation, and renovation of baseball, softball, football, and other athletic playing surfaces for all levels of competition. This job requires operating construction and maintenance equipment using a wide variety of attachments, maintaining equipment, establishing layouts and elevations based on construction documents, and loading/unloading equipment to haul to and from jobsites.
Construction Technicians should have the ability to communicate professionally and effectively with tournament directors, clients, and team members. This role requires a high level of flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment where working long hours and weekends may be necessary.

Responsibilities
This role requires a high level of flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This person must have strong communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a high level of attention to detail to complete athletic field constrcution tasks. Construction Techs are an important member construction team, helping to ensure the success of each project. Specific responsibilities include the following:
- Safely and proficiently load/unload equipment and supplies
- Safely and proficiently haul equipment to and from job sites
- Safely and proficiently operate construction and maintenance equipment/attachments used in IST, including tractors, track loaders, and mini excavators
- Carry out equipment maintenance procedures and responsibilities
- Establish layouts and elevations based on construction documents
- Carry out safety measures and adhere to company regulations
- Complete outdoor physical labor activities, including lifting 50+ lbs
Qualifications
- Construction experience running tractors, track loaders, and mini excavators
- Communicate effectively with Foreman and Team and follow instructions
- Demonstrate reliability, responsibility, and cooperation in job site and Team environments
- Ability to work 50-60 hour weeks outdoors (employees receive overtime pay in accordance with state and federal law)
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
- CDL training required after employment
