Athletic Trainer

We are seeking a highly skilled Athletic Trainer to join our team at Iowa Orthopaedic Center PC. As an Athletic Trainer, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our physicians and staff in delivering gold-standard healthcare.

• Provide excellent patient care, including directing patients to exam rooms, obtaining patient history and vitals, collecting specimens, and providing patient education and rehabilitation exercises.
• Pull x-rays and MRIs, draw up and prepare injection and procedure trays, and send diagnostic and therapy orders and prescription medications under the direction of the provider.
• Assist physicians and x-ray technicians with procedures, including removing sutures, staples, applying Steri-Strips, and assisting with cast and splint applications and/or removal.
• Partner with physicians to discuss and diagnose orthopedic conditions, present relevant information, and develop treatment plans.
• Accurately schedule and reschedule appointments and follow-up appointments for patients as needed.
• Document information in our electronic medical record (EMR) system.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Athletic Training or a related field.
• Current and up-to-date Board of Certification and State of Iowa licensure for Athletic Trainers.
• Current CPR certification and Mandatory Reporter certification.
• Ability to provide exceptional patient care and work effectively in a team environment.
