Job Overview

Graham Construction is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Field/Project Engineer Intern to join our team. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry and develop your skills in project management, safety, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in safety walks and document findings
  • Complete jobsite progress photos and reports
  • Document foremen meeting minutes
  • Review and learn about 6-week schedules from the superintendent
  • Update clients on job progress via the Graham app
  • Assist with RFIs, ASIs, PRs, submittals, closeouts, and other documentation
  • Attend pre-punch, punch list items, and punch list walks with architects
  • Assist project managers and superintendents with various duties
  • Promote and enforce Graham's safety policies
  • Utilize Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Projects, and Outlook
  • Follow Graham's Core Process, including jobsite checklists
  • Maintain great relationships with owners, clients, architects, trade partners, and industry representatives
  • Attend job site tour visits to learn about various types of Graham Construction projects
  • Create and present an intern project with other interns
  • Complete intern educational projects, such as estimating assignments
  • Attend company-wide events, including safety meetings, quarterly retreats, and the company golf tournament

Requirements:

  • Obtaining a bachelor's (preferred) or associate's degree in construction management or a related field
  • Great verbal and written communication skills
  • Extremely detail-oriented
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass a physical capacity profile and drug screening
  • Must be able to navigate all areas of the construction site in various weather conditions
  • Ability to work within one of Graham Construction's operational areas as assigned
