Installation Foreman Preferences Abilities

WORK Schedule

  • Full-time, paid Holidays and PTO available after probation period

Compensation:

$18 - $24 hourly

Responsibilities:
  • Manages and directs crew members in activities related to production, safety, quality, and workforce development.
  • Establishes an open line of communication between the field supervision and project management about procedures, budgets, scopes, final close out and the overall success of the project.
  • Models a spirit of teamwork and success through support and communication
  • Cleaning and preparing construction sites
  • Loading and unloading materials and equipment
  • Digging trenches, compacting, and backfilling trenches/holes
  • Operating and tending machinery and heavy equipment
  • Following instructions from supervisors and implementing construction plans
  • Assisting skilled tradesmen in their duties
  • Responsible for daily jobsite clean-up
  • Interact professionally with customers, trade partners, and suppliers/vendors
  • Manage materials, tools, and equipment
  • Other maintenance duties that arise
Qualifications:

Manage Different Personalities:

  • Experience understanding behavioral differences, is self-aware of own behavioral strengths weaknesses.Be able to identify strategies for effective communication with different behavioral styles.

Build Communication Effectiveness:

  • Be capable of effective communication both verbally and in writing. Understand core communication skills of an effective supervisor.
  • Be willing to continuously develop and practice listening skills.Be able to provide feedback and understand the values of praise and recognition.

Promoting Teamwork Collaboration:

  • Possess skillset to develop a cohesive team and identify team strengths to assign appropriate roles.

Managing Conflict:

  • Possess the ability to explore causes and impact of conflict in the workplace.
  • Experience in conflict resolution between co-workers, direct reports, etc.

Motivating and Engagement:

  • Understand behaviors that disengage employees and how the role of a supervisor plays into overall employee satisfaction/engagement.

Installation Foreman Skills Requirements:

  • Physical strength and stamina
  • Ability to lift 50lbs.
  • Positive, Can-do Attitude
  • Open to direct instruction
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ leadership experience in a construction environment
  • Flexibility for changing tasks and assignments
  • Willingness to learn new skills and attend technical training
  • Willingness to travel if the need arises
