Senior Tax Accountant

As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Tax Accountant to join our team in Bozeman, MT. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing a range of services including tax planning, compliance, attestation, and business advisory.

Position Overview:

As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will play a key role in managing complex tax issues for our diverse client base. You will be responsible for tax planning and compliance, attestation services, and offering valuable business advisory insights. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in public accounting with a strong focus on tax or audit. We are looking for a professional who demonstrates leadership abilities and excels in client service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform tax planning and compliance work for various entities, including partnerships, high-net-worth individuals, C-Corporations, and S-Corporations.
  • Prepare and review complex tax returns and ensure accurate reporting in accordance with federal and state regulations.
  • Conduct thorough tax research and provide strategic advice to optimize tax positions and compliance.
  • Deliver attestation services including audits, reviews, and compilations.
  • Provide business advisory services to support client growth and strategic decision-making.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Mentor and support junior staff, promoting a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree in Taxation is a plus.
  • CPA license preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax or audit.
  • Proficiency with accounting software, including QuickBooks.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to provide exceptional client service.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
