Job Summary:

  • The CAD Technician/Designer candidate will work in collaboration with an engineer and will be responsible for completing designs, CAD models and drawings while maintaining Cirrus Aircraft design, model and drawing standards. In this role, you will also create detailed prototype and production drawings of components and assemblies using Creo Parametric.

Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

  • Work directly with a Cognizant Design Engineer to complete new designs and modifications, incorporate engineering change orders.
  • Create, revise, and release detailed CAD models and drawing packages of complex components and assemblies using Creo Parametric
  • Manage, promote and release engineering data using Windchill PDMLink while maintaining industry and company standards.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

  • Associate’s degree or comparable work experience
  • At least two years’ experience using Creo Parametric
  • Experience using Windchill PDMLink
  • Experience creating detailed design drawings of airframe structures, propulsion components and system components preferred.
  • Strong understanding of top-down modeling principles and practices
  • Proficient creating drawings per ASME standards.
  • Proficient in tolerance analysis and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Ability to work effectively with others in a cross functional organization.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Experience with composite materials a plus.
  • Windchill Ebom object experience a plus.

This opportunity is located in Duluth MN or North Dallas TX.
