Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and updates of cost estimates/BOMs
  • Assist in the development and updates of Project Design Packages
  • Assist in the development, updates, and distribution of the RFP/SOW documents to our Subcontractors/Owners
  • Coordinate with Network Engineering, Procurement, Asset Administration teams
  • Answer questions regarding the scope of work and/or timing of the project
  • Maintain control of all project documentation/correspondence
  • Create, manage and track RFI’s from the field to the architect/GC of record
  • Maintain/update project records as revisions are required
  • Assist project team with conflict resolution between Owner, Contractor and Subcontractor
  • Understand basic networking layouts / backbone infrastructure
  • Coordinate project change-order management and creation
  • Assist the project team with site survey review documentation and coordination
  • Assist the project team with closeout packages / As-built documentation for each project
  • Assist the project team with subcontractor billings
  • Assist the project team with assigned/open tasks and provide updates

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Economics, General Business, and or related field of study or equivalent

  • Relevant trade school or certifications a plus

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar technical supporting role
  • Previous drafting or design experience a plus
  • Experience in telecom or internet service provider, WISP or similar business a plus

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Experience with Salesforce, Google Earth, Visio or similar design software.

  • Understanding of internet technologies and network design (emphasis on layer 1), Microwave, WiFi and RF.
  • High-level understanding of Fiber Optic network design and implementation.
  • Knowledge of DirecTV MDU deployments a plus.
  • Ability to read and understand construction blueprints/designs, including distance take offs, and develop internal build plans accordingly.
  • Strong computer skills including good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products/Google Docs/Gmail.
  • Strong critical-thinking and problem solving, attention to detail and time management skills are required.
  • Strong Project Management skills with an ability to successfully manage multiple simultaneous tasks and work activities at once
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required including end user customer service skills with an ability to explain technical concepts to laypersons in simple understandable terms.
  • Need to be a self-starter with an ability to handle ambiguity and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment without supervision.
