Position: Sales Assistant

Job Duties

  • Circulate paperwork/files from the outboxes of Inside salespeople and product/sales managers to distribute to others within the office (every 15-30 minutes)

  • Scan completed inquiries to outside salespeople and maintain a file for each

  • Call customers on behalf of assigned salespeople for the status on delinquent invoice payments

  • Prepare data reports for salespeople from subscription-based data services

  • Summarize orders for new inventory from suppliers (standardized process to confirm accuracy of purchase orders and anticipated timing of receipt by product line and source)

  • Track receipt of new inventory from suppliers Assist salespeople by writing up inquiries, orders, change orders, etc.

  • Assist with dictation preparation/recording of work orders, pipe releases, change orders and related items.

Assist in arranging product shipments to customers

  • Contact freight companies for shipping rates

  • Liaise with freight companies and inventory storage facilities to ensure correct items are picked up / received by customers

  • Learn the basics of TSC product lines Other tasks as needed

Skills/Trafts

  • Proficient in MŠ Òffice (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook), internet browsers

  • Quick learner with strong ability to muiti-task

  • Problem-solving mindset

  • Good listening and note-taking skills

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Self-motivated Positive attitude

  • Works well with others

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that can be demanding at times

  • Sage ERP and/or CRM experience a plus

  • Basic math/Algebra Skills.
