Ergon, Inc in Flowood currently has an opening for a Procurement Specialist for the Energy & Specialty Solutions (E&SS) business segment.

As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for coordination of all third-party base oil purchases and intermediates for Energy and Specialty Solutions (E&SS).
Procurement Specialist Job Duties:
- Responsible for coordination of all third-party base oil purchases and intermediates for Energy & Specialty Solutions (E&SS).
- E&SS's SME and administrator of the complete buying process. I.e., PO acceptance, troubleshooting, goods receipt, invoicing, coding, etc.
- Progresses orders through SAP; Monthly reconciliation for inventory and accounting support.
- Responsible for training the E&SS team members on GR processes, SAP processes, etc.
- Provides Monthly KPI Reporting on third-party purchases.
- Open PO reports, In-transit 3P, master purchasing record, etc.
- Support Near Term Planning (NTP) Supply team meetings and discussion of purchases.
- Responsible for training of employees supporting third party purchasing (e.g., Ergon International, Ergon Singapore, Ergon Mexico, etc.).
- Interfaces with vendors and trucking companies to schedule and troubleshoot deliveries. Coordinates with Customer Service as part of this responsibility
- Coordination and cross-functional communication with Refinery Supply Team and E&SS to develop purchase plans to balance inventory investment with customer service commitments.
- Support E&SS team and Accounting with annual fiscal budgeting and business planning associated with third-party purchasing.
- Maintain and upgrade margin reporting for third-party purchases and sales.
- Support GPM with supplier interfaces to give a three-month lookahead.
- Entering forecast into vendor's forecasting tool
- Drives continuous improvement of the third-party purchasing process.
Procurement Specialist Requirements:
- High school Diploma or GED; relevant college courses.
- 3 years minimum in industrial purchasing
- SAP experience
- Passion for achieving customer and business needs.
- Excellent communication skills that allow problem resolution, mediation, and the ability to successfully work in a team environment.
- Good attention to detail, accurate
- Open-ended problem solving
- Continues improvement mindset.
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Package skills
