Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock for production needs.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and adjust records as necessary.
- Generate and process purchase orders based on production requirements and information provided by the Purchasing Manager.
- Communicate with vendors to place orders, follow up on deliveries, and resolve any issues related to order discrepancies or delays.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, inventory levels, and vendor communications.
- Ensure all documentation is filed appropriately for easy retrieval.
- Negotiate with vendors to secure the best prices and terms.
- Monitor and report on purchasing costs to identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Adhere to company policies and industry regulations regarding procurement and inventory management.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with the shipping and receiving department to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist in the shipment of finished goods and the receipt of incoming materials.
- Perform additional tasks as required to support the needs of the business and ensure operational efficiency.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Additional coursework in supply chain management, business, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing, inventory management, shipping, and receiving within a manufacturing or medical device environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and other related computer applications.
- Ability to interpret and accurately enter data from packing slips and purchase orders.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
