Passion for entrepreneurship, business finance, venture, and early-stage tech Founders is essential. An ability to learn about the SaaS industry & startup fundraising is critical.

Reporting into our BDR Manager, you will work hand-in-hand with our Account Executives and your fellow BDRs every day.

What You'll Do:
  • Drive lead generation efforts by leveraging prospecting, research, and financial analysis tools to identify and qualify opportunities. Collaborate with team members to schedule introductory calls with early-stage technology CEOs.
  • Conduct sales development outreach via email, phone, LinkedIn, and other technology-enabled mediums to connect and schedule meetings for our Account Executive team.
  • Make prompt, multi-channel follow-ups and keep CRM records up-to-date.
  • Assist in developing strategic prospecting campaigns to target new customers and write compelling email copy to encourage timely responses.
  • Provide customer insights for improving brand positioning and suggest enhancements to Novel’s platform.
  • Strategize with colleagues to innovate and enhance the sales process.
  • Effectively represent Novel’s brand in all interactions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (BS/BA). Finance or Accounting major.
  • 1 year experience in Sales preferred.
  • Want to take control of their compensation and professional development.
  • Someone relentless and who is willing to fail and try again.
  • Must be flexible and regularly able to adapt to new processes.
  • Ability to draw key insights from your interactions with prospects and customers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Passionate about startup capital and our mission to serve early-stage technology entrepreneurs.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment. Comfortable making decisions amidst ambiguity, strong bias for action.
  • Technically proficient in the use of CRM, Marketing Automation, and Prospecting Automation tools such as Salesforce and Salesloft.
  • Personal connection or experience with entrepreneurship is a plus.
  • This is a position in our Kansas City office.
