Job DescriptionJob Description

About Us

At ConvenientMD, we’re on a mission to make good health more convenient for all – working to improve how patients and providers experience healthcare in New England. To support this belief, we’re building a team of dedicated professionals who genuinely care about improving lives, are passionate about work that can make a difference, and are driven to learn from one another.

Your Role

As a Patient Service Specialist, you’ll be the first point of contact who welcomes our patients over the phone. You’ll ensure that patient records are well-organized and up-to-date, and you’ll provide essential administrative support to keep our Primary Care clinics running smoothly.

This role is perfect for someone who is eager to learn, enjoys providing excellent customer service, and is adaptable in a fast-paced environment. Your ability to think on your feet and find solutions will be key to helping us grow and serve our patients better every day.

What You'll Do

Create a Great Patient Experience:

  • Build positive relationships with providers and the staff.
  • Educate patients about our value-based care model and their role in it.
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls and manage appointment scheduling.
  • Register patients by gathering and updating their information in our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
  • Provide backup support to the Patient Advocate team and assist the Population Health staff as needed.

Keep Things Organized:

  • Perform various administrative tasks like photocopying, creating reports, and managing patient forms and charts.
  • Use the EMR system to manage appointments, document patient interactions, and support the medical team.
  • Continuously learn and develop your skills in using the EMR to better support patient care.

Manage Medical Records:

  • Ensure patient medical records are complete and up-to-date by requesting and tracking records from previous providers.
  • Electronically record and file incoming medical records.
  • Assist the medical team with obtaining and managing patient records as needed.

Who You Are

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • You have a Medical Receptionist background.

There's a job and then there's purposeful, transformative work. Our aim is to create a workplace where you can learn, grow, and continuously refine your skills. Applicants rarely meet every single job requirement, and we appreciate that many skills and backgrounds can make people successful in this role. We are committed to creating a strong sense of belonging for all team members, and our process is designed to prevent discrimination against applicants regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, age, disability status, or any other aspect which makes you unique. If you’re looking for a great next step, and want to feel good about what you do, we’d love to hear from you.
