Job DescriptionJoin a leading industrial firm as a 2nd shift Burner in a temp-to-hire position. In this role, you'll be responsible for operating cutting equipment to perform precise metal cutting tasks. You'll ensure the quality and accuracy of your work while maintaining a clean and safe workspace. This opportunity offers a pathway to permanent employment with a company committed to excellence and employee growth. Responsibilities:
  • Set up and program cutting equipment while ensuring safe and efficient operation.
  • Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and software program nests to determine cutting specifications.
  • Maintain traceability of plate materials and parts throughout the production process.
  • Use basic measuring devices, such as tape measures and calipers, to ensure accuracy.
  • Employ hand tools like wrenches and clamps for assembly and adjustments.
  • Complete ink markings and die stamps according to international and company standards.
  • Operate forklifts and overhead cranes as needed for material handling.
  • Conduct First Article inspections to verify the quality and accuracy of initial production runs.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and work orders.
  • Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes.
  • At least 3 years of experience with Kinetic 5000 Plasma cutting equipment.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience running a Kinetic 5000 Combination Spindle.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screenings, including background checks and drug tests.
  • Strong mechanical skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
