Job Description:

We are in search of a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to join our great healthcare team that will lead to make a difference for our patients and in our community.

The CEO is responsible for the overall leadership of our facility by providing strategic leadership to ensure the organization remains responsive to the communities it serves. These responsibilities include operations, strategic planning, fiscal management, employee and patient safety, quality of care, service delivery, business development, and community and health system relations.


Responsibilities:

  • Promotes high performance expectations for the leadership team to improve the quality and efficiency of patient care.
  • Provides leadership in the development, implementation, and oversight of standards, systems, policies, and procedures in alignment with the organizations strategic plan.
  • Ensures that revenue goals, cost objectives, and market share targets are achieved.
  • Communicates a shared vision to all stakeholders in the facility and the community.
  • Provides input to staffing and resource planning in direct and indirect reporting departments as they affect operations of the facility.
  • Demonstrates competency in strategic planning and developing goals and objectives.
  • Works with leaders to set departmental goals and objectives that are consistent with the facility mission and strategic plan.
  • Develops and maintains positive relations with physicians and actively participates in physician retention and recruitment.
  • Participates in fostering a cooperative and productive working relationship with medical staff.
  • Responsible for outreach to the community; assists in community service programs and education.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration required Masters Degree preferred.
  • Five (5) years of progressive leadership experience in the healthcare field, experience working in a non-profit environment with a community-based Board of Directors, with preference given to home care, hospice, and/or post-acute services.
  • Strong working knowledge of federal healthcare and state Medicaid program legislation, laws, regulations, and guidelines is required.
  • Proven track record of keeping an organization financially healthy, this will include successes in generating new revenue and judicious expense control.
  • Must have strong technical accounting skills, strong written/oral communication skills, strong time-management, and organizational skills.
