OUR MISSION

Established in 2021, SoHo Bistro & Lounge is a new restaurant and bar serving the Manchester area. With delicious appetizers, entrees, and drinks, anyone can find something to enjoy here Our managing partner, Barry Longshaw has been in the restaurant and nightclub business for over 30 years and is skilled at creating an excellent upscale dining experience. At night, we invite local DJs to come and play music.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A KITCHEN LEAD - SOUS CHEF

The typical schedule for this part-time food service position is about 10 hours per week, with shifts between the hours of 4 PM - 1 AM, Tuesday - Saturday. Common shifts at our restaurant are:

  • 4 PM - 6 PM
  • 10 PM - 12 AM
  • 11 PM - 1 AM

As a Part-Time Kitchen Lead - Sous Chef at SoHo Bistro & Lounge, you will collaborate with our experienced team of chefs to prepare and deliver exceptional meals to our customers. Your day-to-day responsibilities include preparing fresh ingredients, supervising the kitchen staff, ensuring the quality of the dishes, monitoring inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.

You're also responsible for ensuring all meals are prepared following regulations and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for all kitchen employees. But don't worry, we provide all the necessary training and support to make sure you feel comfortable and confident in your new role. With our fun and energetic culture, you enjoy coming to work each day

WHAT IS REQUIRED TO BE A KITCHEN LEAD - SOUS CHEF?

  • Experience as a line or sous chef
  • Food handlers permit or the ability to acquire one

To be successful in this part-time restaurant position, you need to have strong attention to detail, be organized, and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You should also be comfortable working independently and as part of a team. If you're creative and passionate about food, that would be a major plus.
