Job Description:

As a Customer Service Representative, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations by processing purchase orders, assisting customers with inquiries, and supporting internal and external sales teams.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately enter purchase orders, ensuring alignment with customer expectations regarding material and freight costs.
  • Generate, review, and send order acknowledgments to customers.
  • Respond to customer and sales staff inquiries about order status, product information, pricing, lead times, and more.
  • Handle returned goods authorizations and credit requests.
  • Process credit card payments.
  • Provide expert customer support through knowledge of the company’s products and applications.
  • Manage inbound sales calls and maintain effective communication between customers, management, and sales representatives.
  • Prepare and follow up on customer quotations.
  • Ensure special orders receive the necessary attention by coordinating with relevant departments.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of experience in customer service, with experience in data entry or order processing within construction, commercial, or manufacturing industries preferred.
  • Strong order entry and Windows Office skills.
  • Typing speed of 35 wpm.
  • Professional phone etiquette and excellent communication skills.
