This is a part-time position up to 30 hours/week.

This position is located at the RTS Operations Center in Huntsville, Alabama.

Essential Functions:
  • Provides administrative and general office support at the ROC-H facility for Human Resources.
  • Assists with personnel records, onboarding, out-processing, training tracking, and special projects to fully leverage human capital.
  • Supports management in full cycle recruitment to include collaboration with hiring managers, creating job postings, and coordinating mandatory pre-employment requirements prior to onboarding.
  • Assists in the implementation of HR policies and procedures through the dissemination of communications and/or meetings.
  • Prepares reports in conformance with organization needs to provide appropriate parties with necessary human resource information.
  • Assists employees to interpret company HR policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Assists new hires and out-processing employees to ensure timely and accurate processing with coverages and cancellations.
  • Works with departments to ensure receipt of timely and accurate employment and termination relevant information.
  • Supports departments to facilitate projects and events.
  • Supports HR staff at Kwajalein as part of the team.
  • Enters/Uploads and maintains employee information in ADP/TEAMS to ensure that employee documentation is accurate and current.
  • Researches and consolidates information required for analysis of human resources operations and prepares special projects as assigned.
  • Perform other related functions as needed.

Required Skills:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills to balance, plan, and prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to understand and apply federal, state and local changes to and/or new regulations/laws pertaining to Human Resources.
  • Ability to learn database applications (e.g., ADP and CostPoint).
  • Ability to uphold a strict level of confidentiality and discretion.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working with human resources principles, practices and procedures preferred.
  • Experience working with human resources information systems (ADP, Costpoint and TEAMS) preferred.
  • Solid experience with Microsoft Office programs.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific projects/functions required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License required.
