Director of Finance - Banking Industry required

We are seeking an experienced Director of Finance to lead our finance department within the banking industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, strategic planning, and regulatory compliance, driving financial success and stability for our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Strategy and Planning:
    • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
    • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
    • Provide financial insights to the executive team and board.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis:
    • Oversee preparation and presentation of financial statements.
    • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
    • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure financial practices comply with banking regulations.
    • Coordinate with auditors for accurate and timely audits.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify and mitigate financial risks.
    • Manage liquidity, capital adequacy, and asset/liability management.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and develop the finance team.
    • Collaborate with other departments for efficient financial operations.
  • Investment Management:
    • Oversee the bank’s investment portfolio.
    • Develop and implement investment policies and strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 10+ years in finance, with 5+ years in a banking leadership role.
  • Knowledge of banking regulations and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience in strategic planning, budgeting, and financial analysis.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
