JOB SUMMARY: Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT’s) are responsible work delivering Applied Behavior Analysis services with youth in a residential setting, under the supervision of a BCBA, in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team. RBT also assists with supporting the 3-tier positive behavior supports approach to campus behavior management. Involves a broad range of training and development activities, assessment services, case consultation, and requires quality documentation of services provided.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT’s) deliver behavioral services campus wide including both direct behavior therapy services to youth as well as staff training, including trauma informed practices to support the youth.

2. Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) assists the BCBA with the completion of Preference Assessments, Functional Behavior Assessments, and Behavior Intervention Plans, under the supervision of the BCBA.

3. RBT’s complete accurate, timely clinical documentation of the highest quality and consistent with agency standards, rules and regulations, and Medicaid. Completes required assessments, training modules, behavioral plans and progress notes.

4. RBT’s enter necessary documentation into the Electronic Health Record and billing system for services provided.

5. RBT’s complete a minimum of 80% of worked hours as billable hours.

6. RBT’s positively interact with other residential team members, clinical therapists, school liaison, activities coordinator, case managers, teachers, etc., as needed to ensure services are successfully implemented.

7. RBT’s completes discrete trial training and naturalistic environment teaching, as needed.

8. RBT’s conduct assessments such as VBMAPP, Vineland, BASC, etc.

9. RBT’s collect data, graphs data, analyze and summarize data. Use data to monitor the course of treatment services for individual youth.

10. RBT’s attend and participate in all treatment plan reviews, psychiatric consultations, internal/external youth staffing meetings, and/or any client review meetings requiring the RBT’s input.

11. RBT’s participate in and assist with the implementation of campus positive behavior supports and campus incentive programs.

12. RBT’s work within the philosophy, function and Human Resources practices of the Children's Home Network.

13. RBT’s work within the ‘Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts’.

14. RBT’s assist with application of the campus 3-tier positive behavior supports approach to campus behavior management; this includes Tier 1 and Tier 2 interventions in addition to billable tier 3 services.

15. RBT’s use evidence-based interventions to provide out of the box ABA therapy in an alternative environment with at-risk/high-risk youth.

16. RBT’s assist the BCBA with day-to-day operations in serving the behavioral needs of clients and staff in a residential facility.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

· High School Diploma/ or GED equivalent.

· Must be a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).

· Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.


PREFERRED:

· Current Medicaid Provider enrollment.


Licenses & Certifications:

· Must be a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).

· Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license with no record of criminal driving offense of license suspension.

· Must possess means of providing job related transportation and show proof of required insurance. Must be insurable under Children’s Home Network insurance policy.

· Must successfully complete and maintain FDLE clearance, Federal background and state criminal background check and sexual predator screening.


COMPETENCIES & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT:


Annual Training Requirements: Must fulfill annual training requirements required to work at CHN in addition to all training required to maintain RBT certification. Some of the training topics are required annually: Prevention of Sexual Harassment, Blood-borne Pathogens, Workplace Accident Prevention and Reporting, Confidentiality and Privacy Practices, Diversity/Cultural Competency, Child Abuse and Neglect Mandated Reporter Statutes and Methods, Crisis Prevention, and Program Goals.

· Ability to process confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

· Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

· Ability to multi-task while paying attention to the details and managing changing priorities.

· Ability to adjust in a short-time period and adapt as needed.

· Strong communication and documentation skills.


ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL SKILLS:

· Visual: ability to safely operate a motor vehicle, read printed materials, and make observations of physical facilities.

· Hearing: ability to understand and comprehend spoken dialogue in individual and group settings.

· Ability to speak clearly and effectively.

· Reasonable accommodation will be made for otherwise qualified individuals with a disability.

· Ability to use a personal computer and related office equipment.

· Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.

· Good hearing (with or without hearing device).

· Able to lift at least 20 lbs.


ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

· Works within an office environment and within residential campus activities.

· Able to accompany and support youth in the community on outings.

· High level of emotional discussions requiring self-awareness regarding loss/abuse issues and understanding of professional boundaries.

· High interaction with children.

· Possible exposure to verbal abuse and physical behavior.
