Founded in 1948 by John Pridgeon and Donald Clay, we are one of the largest independent, value-added manufacturers and suppliers of automotive stamped and fine-blanked components in the United States.

Objective: The Human Resources Intern learns generalist human resources duties, assisting with various human resources functions in an exemplary manner according to the company quality policies.

Qualified candidates will possess the following Minimum Requirements:

  • Enrollment in a Bachelor's program in Human Resources or Business (or a related program)
  • Ability to drive projects to completion
  • High level of professionalism
  • Possesses a customer service mentality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint)
  • Ability and desire to work in a team-based environment
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • An outstanding work record, including attendance

Outstanding candidates will possess the following Desired Requirements:

  • Completed coursework in human resources
  • Previous experience working in human resources in an industrial or manufacturing setting

Essential Functions:

Human Resources:

  • Assist with the recruitment process by reviewing resumes and sourcing passive candidates for production positions
  • Perform phone screens with potential candidates to determine fit with open production positions
  • Schedule in-person interviews with potential candidates
  • Assist employees with general questions and provide customer service
  • Perform New Hire Orientation, as needed
  • Assist with completing entry-level HR administrative tasks
  • Scan documents into HR Files
  • Fill in for receptionist, as needed
  • Perform other HR projects, as needed

Organization:

  • Organize and maintain efficiency of personal work area and 5S zone.
  • Prepare and deliver final presentation to the leadership team at the end of Internship with cost savings and recommendations.
  • Complete projects within agreed time period.

Teamwork:

  • Consistently exhibit appropriate attendance habits, working the hours necessary to perform the job.
  • Organize and maintain personal work area (based on audit score).
  • Provide necessary, accurate, and timely feedback of all pertinent information to co-workers and management.
  • Effectively communicate with co-workers and management personnel to enhance teamwork and communication initiatives.
  • Consistently adhere to, and support, company policies and procedures, including ISO, TS 16949 and safety regulations.
  • Accept instructions and duties in a positive manner.
  • Treat all team members with dignity and respect.
  • Assist in maintaining company values (Integrity, People, Customers, Safety, We Can If...Do What It Takes, and Ownership) daily, through thoughts and actions.
