At MoXi – A Global Mortgage Company, we are on a mission to make cross-border homeownership accessible, stress-free, and fun.  We take pride in helping clients realize their dream of securely owning real property in Mexico, and as one of the only firms equipped to help US Citizens obtain mortgage financing on residential property in Mexico, we are the international experts.  We provide purchase money and rate/term and cash-out financing on everything from new construction condo developments to custom homes featured in world-renowned architecture and travel publications.  Over the past 4 years, we have worked tirelessly with the Mexican government to create a proprietary legal structure that delivers a reliable process for non-Mexican nationals to not only own property in Mexico, but to do so in highly desirable coastal regions that were previously classified as restricted zones.  As our clients will tell you, our team is comprised of seasoned professionals in the real estate finance business.  We are rapidly expanding as we execute on our aggressive growth plan.  We are extremely well-capitalized and positioned for massive growth in the next 12-24 months.  We are looking for team-oriented Global Mortgage Client Concierge with current mortgage experience, and a desire to provide exemplary client service from start to finish.

 

IDEALLY YOU HAVE:


  • At least three (3) years of recent mortgage industry processing experience, preferably in non-QM lending
  • Fluency in speaking/reading/writing Spanish – bilingual is a must
  • Experience using Encompass end-to-end
  • Remote work experience
  • A track record of exceeding department processing client service and turn time goals
  • A track record of delivering excellent service to both external and internal clients
  • Comfort and familiarity with underwriting guidelines particularly in the non-QM borrower space
  • Experience working with affluent clientele
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to frequent system and process/procedure changes
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Ability to connect and work with vendors and partners in Mexico
  • Ability to travel to beautiful Cabo San Lucas (as needed)

Until now, property purchases by US Citizens in Mexico have largely been done without financing, largely because of the lack of reasonably priced finance options for buyers in this market. Our solution is groundbreaking for this underserved need and as partners and consumers hear about our offering, our business appears to be unstoppable.

  • Massive opportunity exists in purchase money transaction for US buyers in markets across Mexico
  • Even more significant opportunity exists in our cash-out refinance product now available to all current US Citizen owners of properties in Mexico
  • COVID-19 and resulting impacts relative to remote work, change in travel/vacation preferences, and desire for diversification of assets/liquidity in current markets are driving a significant upward trend in our business


Responsibilities – Global Mortgage Client Concierge


Reporting to and working closely with the Director of Risk and Operations and colleagues in the US and Mexico, you will support the execution for the firm’s exponential growth strategy by working closely with clients through their mortgage transaction.  The Client Concierge is expected to be a central point of contact and client resource from the opening of the file to closing on the loan.  This may include conversations about products, programs, pricing, and fees/costs.  As a startup that’s blazing a trail, you are expected to think and act differently to accomplish an objective for the client and the company.

  • Build relationships with clients and work closely with them from file opening to closing all the while creating raving fans of MoXi – A Global Mortgage Company
  • Bilingual is required; must be able to professionally speak/write/read in English and in Spanish
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of credit policy and underwriting guidelines
  • Meet and exceed 48-72 hour department task and document review turn times
  • Collect documentation from clients and vendors and address deficiencies as needed to meet underwriting needs
  • Perform documentation reviews and verifications, both pre-underwriting and of conditions submitted by borrowers
  • Submit files to underwriting and legal for review and follow up to ensure timely completion
  • Work with legal and closing vendor partners in Mexico to assist with legal property transfer needs
  • Work with legal and closing to ensure closing document accuracy
  • Discuss program, process, and general rate/pricing information with clients, as needed
  • Generate disclosures and request upfront documents from clients, as needed
  • Assist clients with electronic signatures and document portal requests
  • Validate that MA has completed application and collected all required documentation for program/submission
  • Review and analyzes documentation provided by MA prior to submission to underwriting
  • Send welcome/introductory email to clients prior to submitting to underwriting and requests any missing items from initial review at that time
  • Make all required data entry updates to system based on documentation received from clients throughout the transaction
  • Coordinate with accounting/finance to confirm that appropriate fees have been collected throughout transaction
  • Generate estimated cash to close statements for borrowers at regular intervals throughout transaction
  • Be a central point of contact for borrowers and borrower agents for loan-related issues/questions/circumstances, both credit and collateral/legal
  • Perform in-depth reviews of submitted conditions documentation and work through restructuring as needed, should conditions reveal an issue
  • Re-inform client regarding rate finalization policy and what to expect during later stages of transaction
  • Communicate with clients regarding estimated cash to close/rate finalization
  • Direct customer service escalations, as appropriate, to Sales Manager and Operations Manager
  • Meet and exceed MoXi – A Global Mortgage Company policy to “surprise and delight” – every client, partner, internal colleague – every day
  • Be proactive with all work – whether assigned or not, all the while maintaining a commitment to GSD “get stuff done”
  • Contribute regularly to department-level and all-company projects, meetings, assignments, and tasks

Background Checks & Licensing: Mortgages originated by MoXi – A Global Mortgage Company are done so via our Mexico entity(ies). As such, formal underwriting designations and/or origination licenses common or typical in the United States are not required for this role. MoXi – A Global Mortgage Company does background check all full-time employees which includes a review of the candidate’s credit report. Apart from special circumstances and/or one-time events for which candidates may be asked to write a letter of explanation, MoXi- A Global Mortgage Company policy requires that individuals that are evaluating and decisioning credit and collateral risk for our borrowers have, themselves, demonstrated ability to make responsible financial choices. MoXi – A Global Mortgage Company does not typically ask candidates to complete a drug screening.
