Position Summary

W.E.H. Supply is a small family-owned business specializing in supplying materials for sheds and portable buildings. We take pride in delivering high-quality products to our customers and maintaining a supportive work environment for our team.

 

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Production Support - Machine Operator to join our team. This role is an excellent entry point into our company, and we are committed to providing training to the ideal candidate.  The Production Support - Machine Operator will primarily be responsible for performing basic woodworking operations in order to prepare door jambs for the door assembly process. This position is based at our warehouse facility and presents an opportunity to play a vital role in our team's success and contribute to our ongoing growth.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Operate miter saw, router and other machinery to prepare door jambs for assembly.
  • Assembles door jambs utilizing hand tools.
  • At times, assemble entrance doors according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Perform inventory control tasks, including receiving and organizing incoming materials.
  • Operate all equipment necessary to the assembly process.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and customer deadlines.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to promote a safe work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers and management to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Ensure door jambs meet quality standards and perform adjustments as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to improve skills and stay current with company standards.
  • Demonstrates the values of W.E.H. Supply in all activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Experience and knowledge to safely operate power tools.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the company.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills a must



Education and Experience:

  • High School education or equivalent (GED).
  • Previous experience in assembly or warehouse environment preferred.
  • Previous experience using hand tools and equipment is required.

 

Physical Requirements and Environment:

  • Conditions may include moderate to high noise levels, exposure to mechanical parts, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions.
  • Monday-Friday schedule. Ability to work Saturdays to perform work, as necessary.
  • Must be able to work in, on, around, over and under fixed equipment and machinery.
  • Ability to lift and move items up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods while working with hand tools and moving objects.
