Silver Health Care/Rise Health is looking for a patient service representative (PSR). A PSR serves as the first point of contact for patients when they arrive at or call our clinics. They greet and check-in patients, get patient information, collect payments, assist with necessary paperwork, and fulfill other customer service or administrative duties.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Registering, scheduling and re-scheduling patients for initial appointments and follow-ups
  • Entering data for patients into an electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Answering patient questions about billing and payments and collect payments
  • Screening incoming calls to provide the proper routing to other departments when necessary
  • Verifying insurance eligibility
  • Accept lab drop offs from patients

Expected hours: 40 hours per week

Location: Clinic, in person

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday and some weekends
  • Hours vary, shifts start at 7:00, 8:00, and 9:00am
Requirements:
  • Have good problem solving and customer service skills
  • Must be able to work with a positive attitude in a busy clinic setting
  • Comfortable working in a healthcare environment
  • Ability to learn and follow HIPAA requirements and respect patient privacy rights
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Availability to work some evenings and weekends
  • Previous experience in front office or medical/clinical practice preferred
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Proficient in using computer software and office equipment
