Patient Service Rep

Silver Health Care/Rise Health is looking for a patient service representative (PSR). A PSR serves as the first point of contact for patients when they arrive at or call our clinics. They greet and check-in patients, get patient information, collect payments, assist with necessary paperwork, and fulfill other customer service or administrative duties.
Responsibilities Include:
- Registering, scheduling and re-scheduling patients for initial appointments and follow-ups
- Entering data for patients into an electronic medical record (EMR)
- Answering patient questions about billing and payments and collect payments
- Screening incoming calls to provide the proper routing to other departments when necessary
- Verifying insurance eligibility
- Accept lab drop offs from patients

Expected hours: 40 hours per week
Location: Clinic, in person

Schedule:
- Monday through Friday and some weekends
- Hours vary, shifts start at 7:00, 8:00, and 9:00am
- Have good problem solving and customer service skills
- Must be able to work with a positive attitude in a busy clinic setting
- Comfortable working in a healthcare environment
- Ability to learn and follow HIPAA requirements and respect patient privacy rights
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Availability to work some evenings and weekends
- Previous experience in front office or medical/clinical practice preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Proficient in using computer software and office equipment
