Silver Health Care - Patient Service Representative

A patient service representative at Silver Health Care serves as the first point of contact for patients when they arrive at our clinic. They greet and check-in patients, get patient information, collect payments, assist with necessary paperwork, and fulfill other customer service or administrative duties.

Expectations include:

· Registering, scheduling and re-scheduling patients for initial appointments and follow-ups

· Entering data for patients into an electronic medical record (EMR)

· Answering patient questions about billing and payments and collect payments

· Screening incoming calls to provide the proper routing to other departments when necessary

· Verifying insurance eligibility

· Accept lab drop offs from patients


Qualifications and Experience

  • Have good problem solving and customer service skills
  • Must be able to work with a positive attitude in a busy clinic office setting
  • Comfortable working in a healthcare environment

· Ability to learn and follow HIPAA requirements and respect patient privacy rights

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Availability to work some evenings and weekends

· Previous experience in front office or similar role preferred

· Strong organizational and multitasking skills

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Proficient in using computer software and office equipment

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Based on experience

Expected hours: 40 hours per week

Location: Clinic, in person
