We are looking for a legal assistant who can help the busy attorneys and paralegals at our law office assist our clients. You’ll be responsible for managing office correspondence, including answering phone calls and emails, arranging meetings, and ensuring our legal team is aware of upcoming deadlines. You’ll also assist with preparing legal documents and contracts, and perform any other tasks as needed to ensure our firm is operating efficiently. Compensation:

$17 - hourly

Responsibilities:
  • Provide clear and concise communication to a multitude of parties including the clients, attorneys, medical providers, and insurance companies.
  • Maintain attorney’s calendars.
  • Ensure deadlines are met.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, recorded statements, IMEs, and EUOs.
  • Follow up and request all documents in regards to client’s cases including but not limited to insurance information, police reports, medical records, and bills.
  • Provide support to case manager and attorney while managing a caseload.
  • Prepare demands and draft legal documents.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines with quick turnaround times
  • Candidates should have strong organizational skills and communication skills
  • The Legal Assistant position is an entry-level position and legal experience is not required.
  • Minimum of one year of office work experience or demonstrated interest in the law.
  • The Legal Assistant must have a high school degree and some college coursework.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must have a positive attitude and be computer savvy.
  • Strong multi-tasking ability.
  • Must be innovative, self-starter, and goal oriented.
  • Candidate should be able to manage deadlines; ability to follow up and be detail oriented.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced evolving environment as part of a team.
  • Bilingual – English/Spanish.
