Production Supervisors are required to successfully complete 8-10 months of technical training provided by Silgan Containers. This will include writing reports, and discussions with plant management to understand can/end manufacturing processes and equipment.

**What you’ll do:**

  • Train personnel, apply written safety procedures, observe work areas for safety improvements, and learn investigative processes.

  • Apply SPC principles and basic quality tools.

  • Train procedures, manage equipment, and maximize production throughput.

  • Learn factory organizations, enforce SOP’s, and review standard reporting.

  • Develop, mentor, direct, and assign employees work.

  • Administer Labor contracts in union plants.

  • Personal inspection of workforce, material usage, and production.

  • Analyze reports.

We need you to have:

  • High school diploma or GED, Associate/Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience

  • 1+ year of supervisory experience

  • Solid technical and mechanical aptitude

  • Excellent communication, including both written and oral

  • Statistical and computer knowledge

  • Problem-solving and visual mechanic skills (blueprints and descriptions)
