Construction Site Surveyor Daily Life

  • Perform precise and accurate surveying and layout work onsite for a large scale construction project.
  • Collaborate with the project survey chief to achieve project goals and maintain pace ahead of field crews.
  • Maintain positive relationships with Engineers, Subcontractors and Vendors.
  • Provide training, development, and mentoring of Co-ops, and Interns.
  • Support Project Team in other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with using survey equipment including total station, data collector, grade rod and GPS equipment.
  • Experience working successfully on teams.
  • Experience interpreting construction plans, blueprints, topographical maps and other related engineering and construction documentation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • 2+ Years of experience in surveying and layout in heavy industrial or related construction field.
