Job Description

Position Summary

Responsible for a portfolio of customer accounts ensuring timely collections of outstanding invoices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contact Customers for collection of outstanding invoices.

•         Maintain accurate records of past due accounts and collection efforts.

•         Work effectively with internal and external customers to resolve invoice queries.

•         Routinely run reports to identify and prioritize collection of past-due invoices.

•         Ability to review accounts for deductions/tax exemptions and follow through to resolution.

•         Prepare and mail/email customer account statements.

•         Review and recommend accounts for monthly dunning process.

•         Reviewing & releasing of customer orders that have exceeded their credit limit.

•         Recommend customers for credit limit review.

•         Assess Dun & Bradstreet reports for customer credit worth.

•         Input of invoices through customer specific EDI systems.

•         Review and mail customer invoices.

•         Ad hoc requests and responsibilities as needed.

 

Qualifications

Basic Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Accounting with 2+ years' experience working in Accounts Receivable OR at least 5+ years overall experience working in a Collections capacity.

Preferred Skills

  • Team player with a customer service orientation applied to both internal and external.

•         Effective communication skills (Internally and Externally).

•         MS Office, in particular proficiency with outlook and excel.

•         Ability to problem solve.

•         Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal skills.

•         Ability to work independently.

Business system knowledge (SAP).

The expected compensation range for this non-exempt position is between $45,000 and $55,000 per year and is based on a full-time schedule.

Compensation for roles at Syntegon varies depending on a wide array of non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, degree/credentials, relevant skill set, and level of relevant experience. At Syntegon compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Total rewards at Syntegon include salary + bonus (if applicable) + benefits.
