Role and Responsibilities:

  • Banquet set-up/House persons are the primary department for all setup of event space for all events happening at the hotel.  Banquet Set Up are responsible for the complete and correct setup as determined by banquet event orders, catering & conference managers, banquet manager and our guests/clients on-site.  housemen are responsible for the cleanliness of all event spaces as well as monitoring for cleanliness and safe operation of all equipment.

Job Summary:

  • Setup the physical facilities layout of all event space for all functions as directed by management and Banquet Event Orders.
  • Cleaning of all function spaces as directed
  • Maintain all areas and equipment for proper working order and presentable for guest use regarding safety and overall condition.  Report any deficiencies to supervisor, management or Engineering for repairs as needed.
  • Able to read and understand directions given from Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and setup all function spaces accordingly.
  • Able to respond to changes and direction from various involved departments such as Banquet Manager, A/V Supervisors and other departments as required.
  • Able to respond to guest and client needs ‘on the spot’ and handle special requests appropriately.
  • Able to perform other special task as set forth by management other than those listed above

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Legal to work in the United States
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts including overnight or early am as required. Ability to work Saturday and Sunday as needed
  • Reliable Transportation
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

  • Able to work indoors for extended periods of time.
  • Able to work outdoors for extended periods of time on occasion as setups require.
  • Able to perform repetitive lifting, bending, stooping of weights in excess of 40 pounds.
