POSITION DESCRIPTION:
JOB TITLE:                    Safety Administrator 
DEPARTMENT:             Distribution Center
LOCATION:                 Lewisville, TX
STATUS:                        Full time

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Help organize and ensure that the safety programs, safety trainings, procedures, and all necessary requirements are followed. Responsible for the safety of the personnel and property of the workplace.
OSH: Verify Compliance with legislation and applicable safety regulations, hygiene and environmental, as well as follow up on the programs implemented towards a vision of no accidents.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES:

• Detect high-risk work by the warehouse personnel and ensure safety guidelines are being followed.
• Determine and record any issues or non-conformance that is prompted and needs corrective action.
• Create corrective action plans to capture the details of the corrective action to be taken to rectify the non-conformance.
• Submit corrective action report to the intended recipients and keep a record for future reference and follow through.
• Schedule and record compliance in the areas of Safety, Environmental and Maintenance.
• Develop safety policies and procedures.
• Recommending and implementing solutions to safety issues
• Reviewing safety-related documents
• Ensuring the business is compliant with regulatory standards.
• Maintaining OSHA logs
•  Identifying and investigating risks and implementing to identify, resolve, and prevent issues of quality non-conformity.
• Performs safety tests on equipment. 
• Document and administer the follow-up of action plans generated by work accidents, inspections, audits, acts of unsafe conditions etc.
• Follow-up on policies for equipment and services (Forklifts, fixed fire protection systems, compressors, electrical services, conveyor belts, storage equipment, etc.).
• Verify compliance with applicable legal requirements from OSHA and EPA.

All other duties are as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:
HSE: Safety, Mechanical Engineering, and Industrial Engineering.

SKILLS:
High-risk Jobs as applicable, use of forklifts.
LOTO, Asset Management through preventive maintenance.

EXPERIENCE:
Contractor Supplier Management, Training on a variety of topics (general services)

DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY

• Stop any activity that puts the integrity of staff at risk, environment, or equipment.
• Determine the scope of the contracted service policies in accordance with legal requirements such as OSHA.
• Attending inspections by the health authorities, Safety, and the environment (OSHA, EPA).
• Determine the scope of the policies for services contracted for preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance.
• Acceptance or rejection of activities carried out that were requested under its management in accordance with security compliance, quality, effectiveness, or any applicable requirement.
• Interaction with security teams SEHS, quality, and maintenance of commercial distributor Jafra.
