  • Responsible for timely and accurate end-to-end payroll processing of multiple legal entities within specific sites that roll up to approximately 10,000 employees on a weekly/bi-weekly basis.
    • Supplemental processing for payroll/deduction corrections
    • Retroactive payments
    • Payroll adjustments.
  • Ensures all Payroll, HR, and benefit related activities are working together to correctly calculate wages and deductions. This may include data analysis and input requiring knowledge of related Federal and State payroll laws.
  • Ensures data integrity within the HRMS (Lawson) and timekeeping (Kronos) systems to ensure that a high level of accuracy is maintained in accordance with all internal and external deadlines.
  • Review, input, and audit all historical time card edits into Kronos.
  • Administers process for union dues, child support orders, and garnishments.
  • Responsible to ensure accuracy and timely submission of set-up, changes, calculations, and disbursements.
  • Responds to requests and inquiries for employment, wage, and income verifications, coordinates the collection of information for subpoena and union grievances.
  • Works with HRIS Specialists to ensure all employee transactions in HR system, including new hires, transfers, promotions, and personal information changes and their impacts, are calculating correctly during payroll processing.
  • Assists Payroll Lead and Analysts on special projects as needed.
  • Gathers data to provide to internal/external audit requests on an on-going basis as needed.
  • Payroll contact for specific sites, for timekeeping and payroll related questions, corrections, troubleshooting, and resolution.
  • Utilizes email, phone, fax and face-to-face interaction to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction and provide ongoing education to system users to improve process flow.
  • Works in tandem with benefits team on leave of absence administration including, FMLA, salary continuation, and disability to ensure accuracy as it relates to payroll processes and to resolve challenges.
  • Calculates and corrects over payments through supplemental payroll processing.
  • Ensures compliance for disability, comp, military pay, and status changes for employees.
  • Responsible for all payroll check/w2 reprinting and distribution for specific sites.
  • Cross trained to be back up for other team members inclusive of payroll processing.
  • SME for Union Contract Compliance, Grievance Settlements, Advanced Payroll Corrections, Garnishments for specific sites.
Skills & Experience:Qualifications That Will Help You Thrive
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associates Degree in Business or HR strongly preferred.
  • 3 years of payroll experience.
  • Union payroll/environment knowledge is preferred.
  • Strong Excel knowledge and general Microsoft Office product suite proficiency.
