Responsibilities
  • Distribution System Monitoring: Monitor and operate the water distribution system to ensure consistent and reliable water supply to customers.
  • Leak Detection: Perform routine inspections and leak detection activities to identify and address water distribution system leaks promptly.
  • Valve Operations: Operate and maintain water distribution valves, hydrants, and other related infrastructure components.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to and manage emergency situations, such as water main breaks or system malfunctions, implementing corrective actions promptly.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of water distribution activities, inspections, repairs, and other relevant data.


Qualifications
  • License: Valid Class IV Water Distribution Operator License issued by the relevant regulatory authority.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Additional coursework or training in water distribution operations is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in water distribution operations.
  • Technical Skills:
    1. Knowledge of water distribution system components, including valves, hydrants, and meters.
    2. Familiarity with operation and maintenance of water distribution infrastructure.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members, report on distribution activities, and interact with customers.
