Position Overview:

As an Accounting Associate, you will play a crucial role in managing full-cycle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions. You will work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial transactions, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full-Cycle Accounts Payable:
    • Process and code invoices accurately to the general ledger.
    • Perform 3-way matching with purchase orders.
    • Code and post invoices to the GL.
    • Check Runs
    • Prepare and issue payments via checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
    • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
    • Maintain and update vendor records.
  • Full-Cycle Accounts Receivable:
    • Generate and distribute invoices to clients.
    • Monitor and manage aging reports, following up on overdue accounts.
    • Apply payments received through lockbox, ACH, and wire transfers.
    • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve payment discrepancies.
    • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements.
  • General Accounting Duties:
    • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
    • Prepare account reconciliations and journal entries.
    • Support internal and external audits as needed.
    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accounting processes.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in full-cycle AP and AR functions.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel (including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
