Position Overview: Sprezzatura is seeking a Junior Project Manager to support the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects within our Strategic Communications initiative. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented and organized professional with experience in managing projects within a communications or marketing environment. This role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that project objectives are met on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities:


  • Project Coordination and Support:
    • Assist in the planning, scheduling, and coordination of project activities, ensuring alignment with project timelines and goals.
    • Maintain detailed project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes.
    • Track project progress and provide regular updates to the Senior Project Manager or Program Manager.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Serve as a point of contact for project stakeholders, facilitating clear and consistent communication.
    • Support the preparation of project-related communication materials, including presentations, reports, and summaries.
    • Assist in managing stakeholder expectations and ensuring that project deliverables meet the desired outcomes.
  • Task Management:
    • Coordinate with team members to ensure that tasks are completed on time and to the required quality standards.
    • Identify and escalate potential risks or issues that may impact project success.
    • Assist in the allocation of resources and management of project budgets as needed.
  • Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement:
    • Support the implementation of quality assurance processes to ensure that all deliverables meet project standards.
    • Participate in post-project reviews to identify areas for improvement and contribute to the development of best practices.
  • Collaboration and Team Support:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including communications, marketing, design, and technical staff, to ensure seamless project execution.
    • Support team members by providing logistical assistance and helping to resolve project-related challenges.


Qualifications:


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 4-5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on strategic communications, marketing, or related fields.
    • Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
    • Experience working in a communications or marketing environment is strongly preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
    • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello).
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in government or non-profit project management.
  • Knowledge of strategic communications practices and principles.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., CAPM, PMP) is a plus.


Location: This is a hybrid position. Majority of time will be remote with the ability to provide onsite support in Washington, DC, as requested by the customer.
