We are currently seeking a Dedicated Service Coordinator for the Financial Reporting Department. This in-office position requires a dynamic individual who can effectively supervise and support a team of financial reporting staff. This role is a specialized position focusing on internal and external customer service to maintain a prominent level of satisfaction. This position will work cross-functionally with regional and local leaders as well as home office support teams, who will coordinate with those teams as required. The purpose of this position is to provide strategic operational support, feedback, direction, and guidance to the internal and external customers which they support. Let’s break down the key responsibilities and qualifications:

Responsibilities:

  • Supervision and Team Management: Effectively supervise, cultivate, and direct a team of financial reporting staff, ensuring their productivity and development.
  • Financial Reporting Oversight: Oversee the preparation and review of financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal and external reporting requirements, including GAAP.
  • Customer Service: Attend to customer service issues, ensuring effective and long-term problem resolution to maintain a prominent level of customer satisfaction.
  • Performance Management: Measure and track performance management for a financial reporting team, providing feedback and support when needed.
  • Project Support: Perform assignments associated with department projects as directed by Sentry’s leadership team, supporting divisional retention efforts, and coordinating resolution.
  • Issue Resolution: Act as the first level of support for division issues, coordinating the participation of required staff to resolve disputes and troubleshoot customer needs.
  • Efficiency Improvement: Identify ways to improve efficiencies, streamline processes, and enhance the customer experience within the financial reporting department.
  • Single Point of Contact: Serve as the single point of contact for the region, triaging all issues, researching solutions, and providing status updates based on service level agreements.

  • Accounting Skills: Demonstrate a mastery of core competency skills within fundamental accounting principles.
  • Professionalism: Be professional, organized, and initiative-taking in executing duties and interacting with internal team members and external customers.
  • Communication Skills: Possess strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey information and collaborate with internal and external customers.
  • Technical Proficiency: Have proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer skills necessary.
  • Analytical Skills: Possess strong analytical skills to review financial reports for quality assurance.
  • Time Management: Execute time management skills effectively to ensure daily deliverables and company/department objectives are met.
  • Positive Attitude: Exhibit high energy and positivity in interactions with internal team members and external customers, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
