About the Role

As a Civil Engineer at AESC, you will play a crucial role in supporting the design, construction, and maintenance of our battery manufacturing facilities across the United States. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will contribute to the company's mission of leading in full-value-chain battery solutions for a sustainable future. What You Will Do

• Lead the design and development of civil engineering aspects for new and existing battery manufacturing facilities.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including process engineers, architects, and construction managers, to ensure project alignment and integration.

• Prepare and review construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and estimates.

• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with all building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.

• Manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring timely and cost-effective project completion.

• Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and new technologies related to civil engineering and sustainable construction.


What You Need

• 5+ years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on industrial or manufacturing facilities.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering .

• Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of practice (preferred in TN, SC, and KY) with records at NCEES to be ready to get registration in various states.

• Green field development for phase construction.

• Experienced in interaction with Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) and local/federal EPA on land development.

• Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.

• Proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and other relevant engineering software.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Understands and follows all standards of IATF16949 and VDA 6.3 quality standards.

• Understands and follows all standards of ISO14001 environmental standards.


What is “Nice to Have”?

• Experience in the battery manufacturing industry or a related field.

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering.

• LEED certification or experience with sustainable building practices.

• Experience working in a global environment.

Work Environment
