What You’ll Do:

The Credit Underwriter will look for opportunities to send deals to a lender – they will need to develop an understanding of our lenders and the basic qualifications of applications. The Credit Underwriter will be responsible for overseeing the underwriting process, verifying data submitted with application and review and approve deals submitted for funding. The role’s day-to-day duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Driving enhancements to Auto Approve’s underwriting strategy with our lending partners by applying a quantitative, data-driven approach
  • Delivering custom and standard training leveraging expertise and consumer lending experience
  • Creating recurring & ad hoc reports/analyses that will support critical decision making in the life cycle of a lead
  • Helping implement internal scorecard and decision trees
  • Conducting exploratory analyses to identify key triggers of customer behavior that can be leveraged strategically
  • Accessing and connects datasets across multiple sources to draw out actionable insights
  • Communicating results and recommendations to internal stakeholders


What You’ll Need:

  • 1+ year of data-entry experience required
  • Proficient in Excel required
  • Experience Consumer Loan Finance/Underwriting experience (preferred)
  • Experience with a loan origination system (preferred)


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position.  Days and hours of work are variable and based on business need. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.


Physical Requirements: This position is indoors. Must be able to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period.  May be asked to lift approximately 25 lbs.  Exposure to moderate noise and light, i.e., business office with computers, phone, printers, light foot traffic.
