Job Summary:

Responsible for receiving, documenting and distribution of all purchased and manufactured product that arrives.

Essential Duties:

  • Performs work according to released methods 100% of the time
  • Follows safe working practices and notifies any supervisory personnel or safety team member if an unsafe condition is observed
  • Achieves efficiency targets
  • Produces product to established quality standards and notifies direct supervisor if bad product is found
  • Demonstrates respectful behavior with all employees
  • Operates with a sense of urgency when required
  • Pulls parts as needed for assemble, follow and maintain accuracy of all inventory procedures
  • Understands and follows employee handbook
  • Participates in SQCB Board meetings as scheduled
  • Understands and knows where the Material Safety Data Sheets are located
  • Fills out quality forms correctly, completely and timely
  • Is able to develop multiple skills for multiple cells as needed
  • Maintain all surrounding areas for cleanliness, orderliness and organization per established 5S practices
  • Discusses all questions and concerns with direct supervisor
  • Moves materials and items from receiving and production areas to storage and to other designated areas
  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermines sequences, such as, size, type, style or product code
  • Marks materials with identifying information
  • Records amounts of materials or items distributed
  • Interfaces with other departments to ensure customer order deadlines are met
  • Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records
  • Applies shrink wrap and banding and selects preassembled containers
  • Inserts items into containers
  • Examines incoming shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications and confirms delivery by date stamp packaging slip and signing bill of lading
  • Maintains inventory or receiving materials and supplies
  • Completes all Material Requisition forms for the received purchased goods to stock and generate the receiving ticket
  • Forwards all packing slips along with a copy of the receiving report to the accounting and quality departments
  • Data entry of completed manufacturing orders and material requisitions into system correctly, completely and in the prescribed time frame
  • Performs and documents preventative maintenance according to released methods 100% of the time

Skills/Ability to:

  • To read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos and blueprints
  • To write simple correspondence and fill in required quality forms
  • To add, subtract, multiply and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • To safely and properly operate various material handling equipment

Acceptable Experience or Training:

  • Specific safety training specified in New Employee Orientation.
  • Specific procedural training identified in the Job Function Element Master List
  • One to three months of related experience or training
